The Brooklyn Bridge (1883) is designated a National Historic Landmark, and spans the East River connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Contemporaries of that time marveled at what technology was capable of and the bridge became a symbol of optimism. As stated in newspapers “the Bridge required of its builders faith in their ability to control technology”. No wonder it was designated a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark!
In an attempt to move away from the cliché sunset bridge shots, I looked forward to shooting the beautiful pedestrian lane. It was packed. Not just by runners, walkers and cyclists but also by roller bladers!!
I used the yellow line to anchor the visual and my intent was to get just the kinds of people who usually use this pathway.
