Sudhir Ramchandran of Italy Florence

Exhausted after an emotional immersive experience photographing Michelangelo’s David in Florence, Italy, we collapsed at this quaint café – Café Ricasoli – along the same road Via Riacasoli.

People, organic and in flow, glowed in the resplendent light forming my visual as I sought to capture a frozen, perfectly balanced scene.

The low afternoon light cast long shadows and curved into the café, revealing enough details to create a multidimensional inside-outside view. It was a moment snapped in the blink of an eye that will forever stay with me.
